WHO WE ARE

Terminal Intermodal Monzón (TIM) SL, with facilities in Monzón and Tamarite de Litera, belongs to the SAMCA Group. Logirail has been a shareholder since the company’s launch in 2011, and the Port of Barcelona and the Port of Tarragona joined the project in 2021.

We began operations by building a rail siding in the La Armentera industrial park (Monzón), creating an integrated logistics offer centered on rail transport. In 2019 we opened agroTIM in Monzón—one of Aragón’s first agri-food rail terminals—establishing a multimodal agri-food corridor between the Port of Tarragona and the province of Huesca, a major destination for agri-food bulk cargo in Spain.

In 2021 we launched termoTIM, a business unit dedicated to “reefer” containers and equipped for temperature-controlled storage. Finally, in 2023 we put literaTIM into service, a new intermodal rail terminal in Tamarite de Litera that brings our solutions closer to a strategic agri-food hub housing leading national companies in meat processing, forage, and feed production.

MONZÓN
Huesca

Located on the left bank of the Cinca River, Monzón is the principal town in the Cinca Medio district. The A-22 highway links it to Huesca and Lleida, while the A-23 and A-2 provide onward connections to Zaragoza and Barcelona. The development of the A-21 Pyrenees Highway further strengthens Monzón’s strategic position along the Cantabrian-Mediterranean corridor.
